The Tvisted MVP has a basic feature set focussed on supporting TV switching with a single device (EPG with SI-data only, no Set-Top-Box support, WLAN only for Samsung Smart TVs, limited support for infrared)

… will change a lot in 2015

Over the next months we will add a significant number of features already developed. We put VoD (DLNA, Chromecast, App-Steering, Online Video like YouTube), additional TV brands and more interactivity in place.

… and over the next months we enable several revenue models:

  • Advertising

    A mobile app is ideal to bring interactive advertising to the users. This may range from genuine display ads to fully interactive, TV-synchronized advertising.

  • T-Commerce

    Direct sales of items related to the TV content makes perfect sense, but is currently not fully explored.

  • Betting, Gaming, Gambling

    Betting on sports and other topics become legal in a growing number of countries and provide a harmonic extension to TV live events. Gaming and Gambling may fill in phases of distraction attracting attention instead of making the user shift channels.

  • Commercial add-ons for services like VoD, online-PVR and alike

    Next to free VoD is makes sense to integrate commercial VoD services and online-PVR support (in countries where this is permitted) in a version fitting the national market.
